The museum of Trade ceramics is a very nice building of more than a hundred years old. In this museum, 430 ceramic artefacts from 8th to 18th centuries are displayed, testifying the important role of Hoi An commercial port town in the maritime ceramic trade network in the region and on the world. So far, it is quite clear that Hoi An did have economic and cultural exchanges with many countries in Asia such as China, Thailand, India, Japan, and the Arabian world as early as in the 8th century.
